Nobody Does It Better

You can't beat the Pacific Northwest when it comes to a lot of things, like wine, coffee, beer, and seafood (just to name a few). But when it comes to cornbread, they have nothin' on good old Shawnee Mills (made right here in Oklahoma). Seriously. It's impossible to find cornbread in Oregon that doesn't make you cringe when you take a bite.

I went to the store this morning and nearly wiped out their entire selection of mexican-style cornbread to take back to Oregon. Love it.

Yay!!! I actually purchased some cornbread to mail to you guys. Then stuck it in the abyss of my pantry and forgot about it until just now when I read this post. Oh well. The best of intentions, right? Hope you're having a great time in OK!

My Wine Personality:
For the most part I’m a chardonnay, as I consider myself to exhibit a somewhat sunny and mellow disposition (most of the time), but because I find a tremendous amount of joy out of showering my two kids with hugs and kisses, I also possess the subtle sweetness often found in a riesling. But don’t be fooled. I love a great outdoor adventure and am willing to try anything once. This occasional display of boldness is thought to match that of a cabernet, whereas my appreciation for nature suggests that I have an earthy component to my personality—very characteristic of a merlot.
