Our fifth day on the road, our first call for help.

Funny how those pesky car keys make their way into the trunk.

Medford, Oregon

Blogger The Walrus had this to say:

If I'm reading my maps correctly, and I'd like to think that I am, the smallest number of states that you are required to cross to get from Portland to Tulsa is 5.

You left Portland 5 days ago and have yet to exit Oregon for good. If you were to exit Oregon for good today, extrapolation indicates that it will take approximately 20 more days to get to Tulsa.

I can't wait that long to see my niece and nephew. Could you possibly accelerate your schedule? Pretty please?

But don’t be fooled. I love a great outdoor adventure and am willing to try anything once. This occasional display of boldness is thought to match that of a cabernet, whereas my appreciation for nature suggests that I have an earthy component to my personality—very characteristic of a merlot.
