Homeward Bound!

We had such a magical time exploring Walt Disney World over spring break. The Polynesian Resort was fantastic, the food was little too savory, and the parks were filled with thrills and excitement (although Avery would argue that the Hall of Presidents has no place being in a Disney park). Who knows when we will ever make it back for another visit, but I'm so excited I was able to experience Disney World for the first time with Wyatt and Avery. Thirty-three years was definitely worth the wait.

What can I say, the boy loves dogs.

Any guesses as to who Wyatt's favorite Disney character was during our trip?

Clownin' Around

I think I should just stop fighting it and let him join the circus.

Lazy day at the resort

Drinking a margarita. Poolside. In the rain.

I'll take it.

Character Transformations
Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Today was a big day. We started off at the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique, transforming Avery into Cinderella. Then we dined at the castle with all of the princesses before heading over to the Pirates League. There, Wyatt received his transformation as well as his official pirate name, Roger Cresspaddler. Now we are headed back to the resort via the ferry for a much needed nap before enjoying some evening festivities at Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom
Sunday, March 18, 2012

I've been searching for a pack of gum in magic kingdom for 5 hours. Right now, I'd pay someone $20 for a single piece. Haha! In other more relevant news, the kids are having a blast. Space Mountain scared the bejesus out of Wyatt, twice. The Buzz Lightyear ride has also been a big hit. I'm also pretty sure we will all be coming back to OK with sun kissed skin. Fire-roasted in Eric's case. :-)

Hello Disney World!
Saturday, March 17, 2012

After 20 hours in the car, it's probably no surprise to many that our first Disney destination happened to be the Big River Brewing Company on the boardwalk.

Oh, and that Wheat Magnolia never tasted so good!

A full day of Magic Kingdom awaits us in the morning. The kids are ecstatic!

Still getting two thumbs up after 6 hours on the road. Keep working that magic, Walt Disney World!

My Wine Personality:
For the most part I’m a chardonnay, as I consider myself to exhibit a somewhat sunny and mellow disposition (most of the time), but because I find a tremendous amount of joy out of showering my two kids with hugs and kisses, I also possess the subtle sweetness often found in a riesling. But don’t be fooled. I love a great outdoor adventure and am willing to try anything once. This occasional display of boldness is thought to match that of a cabernet, whereas my appreciation for nature suggests that I have an earthy component to my personality—very characteristic of a merlot.
